My son's mother never takes care of him since he was born. We are not married and are no longer seeing each other. But when there's a decision to be made about our son, she doesn't make it its her mother who makes all the decision. He goes to a baby sitter every weekday cuzz she does not want to take care of him. She is also a drug addict. Im the baby's father should I try to take custody of him since the mother doesn't take care of him. Right now his grandmother is the one taking care of him.

Ofcourse you should shoot for custody...that is, if you want to take care of your son. Get a good lawyer and find proof of her drug addiction and abuse and you will win. Let the best interest be for the child...but don't forget the mother has rights to.

Umm, Yeah...Do you hear yourself? "She also has a drug problem". "She doesn't take care of the child". Do what is best for the child, and it sounds like the child would be best served by the "other" parent..That is if you can provide better for the child. Good luck!
