i am a mother who gave custody to her ex-husband in florida in 1991. i moved to california 7 years ago. my daughter is 9years old and came to live here 7mo. ago. there has been no court action since the original divorce.she wants to stay in california with me like her father said she could. but now that shes doing better in school he wants her back. since he was given custody in the first place in florida do i have to return there or can i do this in cali. since shes been here for 7mo? is this her home state now?
