My husband wants to adopt my son. My son's father has never seen him, and my son is almost 4. He knows that my son is his, but there is no paternity proven. Do I have to have my son's fathers permission to have my husband adopt my son?

The court will most likely require you to name the father, he will have to be served, paternity proven and either his consent obtained or the court shown that adoption would be in the child's best interests.
