My mother turned 58 this year and has decided to look into her family history. She was adopted as an infant and long ago found her biological mother, and several sisters. All but one siter wanted nothing to do with her.

All parties are now deceased, her adoptive parents and her bio mom. She is'nt sure who her father is.

Several years ago she decided to try and get her adoption records. The judge told her they were sealed and he was the one who handled the case. He said he remembered it well, but would not elaborate. After researching what she knows, she now thinks she is somehow related to this judge....anyway...

now that all immediate parties related to this case are deceased is there a better chance of getting the records opened? Will she need a court order? Approx. how much will that cost?

She really wants to know family medical history, as I have a son with cystic fibrosis , the place and time of her birth and her grandparents names.

Any thoughts would be appreciated! Thanks
