I'm in NYC, she's in California.
I was bidding on something of her's on eBay. I won the bid but then decided that I didn't actually want the $2,500 product.
I didn't pay anything, she didn't ship anything.
She re-listed her product on eBay and it ended up selling for $900 less than when I had won the auction. Now she says she's suing me for the difference.
Should she possibly have a case? Would I have to go all the way to California to defend myself? If I win, can she be liable for my expenses?
Thanks.
