What is the name of your state?florida, my freind just got married and now she thinks her husband is still married to his first wife. doesn't florida state do a check about past divorces. if not, what is the 3 day waitting period for?

The State doesnt do any background check. Your friend should have determined her fiance was completely divorced before she got married.

Why don't fiance/e's do checks about past divorces/marriages? Maybe it's more THEIR responsibility than the state's? Christ on aluminum crutches!

The 3 day waiting period is in case one of the dumbasses changes their mind.
