What is the name of your state? PA.

I was wondering what the normal charges and punishment for theft from an automobile would be.

Does anyone know the the fines, probation, CS?

Thanks

If I understand you correctly, you mean the theft of an item from inside a motor vehicle.

The most likely charge would be Theft by Unlawful Taking (Pa. C.S. 3921), along with any other applicable sections (i.e. Receiving Stoeln Property).

The penalty depends entirely upon the value of the stolen property and some other factors.

Theft during a disaster and theft of a firearm are both a Felony 2 - punishable by a maximum of 10 years and $25k.

Theft in excess of $2k is a Felony 3 - punishable by max of 7 years and $15k.

Theft more than $50, but less than $200, is a Misdemeanor 2 - punishable by max of 2 years and $5k.

Theft less than $50 is a Misdemeanor 3 - punishable by a max of 1 year and $2,500.

Sentencing guidlines are different for juveniles, and are a bit too in depth for me to even considered explaining here.

My first advice would be to stop stealing.

My second advice would be to see a competent attorney ASAP, and pose these questions to him/her.
