Incorrect info on ticket. Dismissable?

What is the name of your state? New York

My wife received 2 tickets. One for using a cell phone while driving her vehicle. The other for an uninspected vehicle. Both tickets have the wrong VIN # for her vehicle. All of the other information is correct. Is there any chance she could have this ticket dismissed? Thanks

The VIN is of little consequence as long as her information and the general information on the vehicle is accurate.

In CA we don't usually write the VIN on citations anyway ... that would be a lot of writing!
