What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? California :) .
We legally sepearted for 3 years over six years ago. We have been back together for the past 6 years and want to make sure we are legally married and not still seperated in case something happened to one of us. We want to make sure the other person still has full legal rights. We have a son who is now 17 years old. :)

My response:

Easy as pie . . .

Both of you go to the Family Law court, and go to the clerk's window. Ask the gruff and loveable clerk for a "Request for Dismissal" form. Both of you fill it out properly, sign it and date it. Hand it back to the clerk. She will file stamp it, and voila! You're both back in business.
