What is the name of your state?Ohio
We recently moved to Columbus from another state, and we moved with a group of 5 people on a business venture. When we got here nobody had any money to move into an apartment or stay in a hotel, so we paid for it out of our business account. A couple of weeks later everybody decided to go home. We are stuck with all the payments for the hotel stay and the money we put down for them to move into an apartment, which is application fee, down payment, first month and last month rent, some of them paid for their first month, but said they are not responsible for the rest. They did not pay utilities or u-haul costs for the move. Is there anything we can do to get our money back?

*** If this meets the IRS requirements for a 'business expense', you can certainly try to write it off if you want.
Or you can consider filing lawsuit(s) against all of your 'business partners'.
