What is the name of your state? OK
A friend lives in Oklahoma and her husband filed for divorce last Aug. and they have not been to court so far and there has been no court date set . She wants to move out of state with the two children and wants to know if she can or not . She belives after one year has past and nothing has happen with the divorce she can leave . Anyone know about this?
Thanks

While she can move, her husband can immediately petition the court to have the children returned to OK - it's likely that this would be ordered. Her best move would be to finish the divorce before she moves anywhere. And she should be aware that she may find herself restricted from moving the children further than a certain distance and/or be required to petition the court for permission to do so. Which she may or may not get.
