What is the name of your state?CALIFORNIA

I have been separated (not legally) from my spouse for over 5 years. He moved out of state and I am not sure where he is now. I want to finally get divorced. Can I
do this without him, how do I start filing?

My response:

Yes, you can file your Petition. All you need to do is file your Declaration that you are unable to locate him. Then, the court will order that you can publish your Summons. For further details and instructions, I would strongly suggest that you buy a "how-to" book on Divorce from Barnes & Noble, if you plan on doing this yourself.
