What is the name of your state?CA

I've heard that it is not advisable (if not impossible?) to make major purchases such as a home or car during divorce proceedings?

Should I wait until my divorce is absolutely final to consider purchases such as these or can I think about it once I have a judgement?

Excuse my ignorance regarding such issues...you only learn if you ask :)

I live in wa state I bought a car in my name only and a house now with the house he had to sign a deed release to my house. So you should find out in your state if that is okay.
