What is the name of your state? Texas

Without going into the long drawn out details, I am wondering if terminating parental rights absolves the NCP of their child support obligation. Believe me, there are reasons that this question is being asked.

In most states, it will not. Rights and obligations are separate issues. However, I'm not sure about TX law on the subject, since I believe TX is one of those states that will terminate the obligations along with the rights. Realize that terminating rights is no easy task.

Veronica,

Thanks for your input. I'm still researching this. If I learn anything that is helpful, I'll be sure to post it. :)
