Question on a New Jersey probate from a poor Virginia relative
Can the executrix receive reimbursement for expenses without presenting receipts to the estate lawyer and probate? The final distribution should be soon according to the NJ estate lawyer but the executrix forgot to include the vehicles she took as assets. Now, it appears she may not have receipts to justify her numerous "first class" air flights and dinners at 4 star restaurants. This is a middle class family and first class treatment is not typical. Will she need receipts for her untypical expenses?
