What is the name of your state?
I live in Texas.
My ex-wife executed a will with her now-deceased husband as executor of her will. She didn't name a second executor.
In her will, the now-deceased husband was to inherit everything.
If he preceeded her in death, i was named to inherit everthing.
My question is: Can I become the executor of the will?
Will I need to petition a judge or something.
She is dying of cancer with a very short time too live (days), so we can't get a new will executed.
