What is the name of your state? Michigan

If a minor, under the age of 18, agrees to a contract, is it true that the contract can be detained as "void," until the person ratifies or re-signs the contract after the age of majority? Especially if in the contract/terms of service, the company did not state nor imply that a legal guardian must agree to the contract?

Your post is pretty unclear the way it is written. However, the general rule is that a contract between someone and a mino ir NOT enforceable against the minor, but IS enforceable against the non-minor party. If a minor reaffirms the contract after reaching the age of majority, or continues to benefit from the contract after the age of majority, the contract is considered reaffirmed. There are a few exceptions in specific cases.

From my understanding the contract would be voidable. The minor could disaffirm the contract. When a minor reaches legal age, he/she may ratify or approve their previous contracts and will then be bound by them. A "reasonable time" for affirming or disavowing a contract depends on conditions durrounding the situation. For most situations, the time period is one year beyond achieving the age of 18.
