What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state?maryland.
I recently got a speeding ticket on the new jersey turnpike for going 92 in a 65mph zone (so I was told). I was also issue a careless driving ticket. What I would like to know is would I get any points on my license and would this affect my insurance. This is my first ticket. I am thinking about showing up for the court date but the ticket did not say I have to. Please let me know if you think I shoud. Thank you.

The minimum point assessment for a moving violation in New Jersey is 2 points.

As little as 2 points can double your insurance in New Jersey.

More than 2 points in New Jersey could lead to surcharges & could cause your insurance company to cancel you.
