What is the name of your state? missouri

i bought my house 5 years ago with a shared drive right down the middle of both properties (houses are about 8-9 feet apart). i always have to ask them to move their parked car blocking it out of the way. its very frustrating and takes my time to knock on the door to have them do it. i really dont want to call the police because that will cause a bad relationship also. i dont know how long i can take this.
im actually going to put my house up for sale because i just got married. but dont want to get on their bad side because they could hurt my home sale by trashing their house which it kind of is now. what would you do?
should i just tell him next time he blocks it im calling the cops?
-oh i forgot in the past my friends have stayed over and have gotten blocked in the drive cause he leaves the car parked and takes off. my friends have tried to have it towed before by calling the cops but wouldnt do it cause it wasnt their residence and it is his. this is with me already gone by the way. -sorry about the grammer

**A: if the driveway is private property, the cops will tell you it is a civil matter and they can ask the neighbor nicely just the same as you can.
