I am currently living in California (but have only been back in the state for 3.5 months). I am pregnant and my husband and I have agreed to remain married until the birth of our child...we are financing a vehicle that is in both of our names but he has possesion of it. If we file for legal separation am I still responsible for payment if he defaults on the loan?? Is there anyway to protect myself and credit rating in this matter?

If you know you are going to be ending the marriage soon, why on earth would you put your name on the vehicle ? Save yourself a lot of paperwork now but not doing so..
