What is the name of your state?WA

I wrote a check to a landscaper with the memo section completed "Deposit for landscape construction." The check was deposited. Two bushes were pruned and four-post holes dug and they never returned. They offered to give me the supposed supplies. I wanted either the work or the money back. They returned $60 of a $400 check. Will a judge think their work was worth $340? Did I have a contract? Any advice? Thank you.

You don't say If you had a written estimate of the work to be preformed .

Obviously they didn't complete what ever work was suppose to be done.

Get 2 landscapers to come out and give you estimates on what it would cost to complete the work you originally contracted to be done, and what the work the other Co. did was worth .

Go from there .
