How to modify a joint custody case

My ex-husband and I have joint custody of our daughter, he has her every other week, we both take her to school and take her to her afterschool sports events. My problem is he is moving at the end of the month out of the area we live in. I want to go back to court and modify the agreement from joint to full physical. How do I go about doing this? I do live in the state of California and have already been to Family Court Clinic.
