What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? VA
We have petition the court for the removal of the adminstrator of my mother's estate. The admintrator is not a heir and my mother died without a will. We are scheduled for a September date.
Question:
1. If he is removed, when will the court appoint a new admintrator and when can the estate be closed? We are sure all bills are paid and the only thing left is the disbursement? (This estate has been open for over a year)

2. If it is found out the adminstrator used money for his personal use (yes, the estate is bonded and the adminstrator put his name down as heir to the estate, which he knew was incorrect (previous threads), How long will it take for the bond company to return funds?

* all this is only if he is proven to be quilty and the court agrees with the heirs*

Thanks
