If you have a warrant for the FTA, then the statute of limitations no longer applies. The SOL only essentially applies to the time they have to bring the matter to court. if there is a warrant, they brought it to court. And warrants only go away if they are withdrawn by the issuing agency.

It WILL come back to haunt you some day. If there IS a warrant, it might make you ineligable for public assistance, student loans, and could result in an arrest even in your current state when you least expect it.

You can either go back to FL and clear the matter up, or, hire an attorney in FL to deal with for you. Or, you can choose to ignore it and hope that you stay off the radar screen ... but, eventually, it will catch up to you.

The warrant will almost certainly show up in a comprehensive background search.

You need to call a lawyer in FL and see what you can do.
