I am suing an individual in small claims court. To prove that he is lying about the situation I need to get some records from a business. How do I as an individual subponea business files/records from a business?

Briefly, I had contractors working on my home and I was not present at the time. My neighbor said the contractors gave him permission to trespass into my backyard and trim/mutilate my two 50' elm trees. The contractors were not working at my home the day the neighbor said this happened. I need the records from the contracors business to prove what days they were working there and when they weren't there.

Thanks much to anyone who can help me.

Call the clerk of the small claims part. They usually have blank forms you can just fill the necessary information into. You'll still be responsible for serving it though.
