What is the name of your state? Illinois...Peoria (city)

Recently, we have been having an Illinois State Task Force out on our campus handing out drinking tickets like crazy. We had a fraternity party one night at our house which was registered with the university.

The state and local police came to our front door and waited to enter the house. No one gave them permission to enter. A police officer asked for the ID of a student on our lawn, which was fenced in, to see if they were of age. Then, the police came in and blocked all exits and started handing out breathalyzers to everyone in the house, about 300 people.

After the a majority of the students were breathalyzed and handed tickets, the police officers proceeded to search our entire house, demanding for the master key and opened every single locked door in the house. People sleeping in the rooms were awakened and given a breathalyzer and handed tickets. Why do the police have the authority to enter all locked rooms in the house? Aren't there any laws about privacy?

Maybe you should have offered them hit on the beer bong. That might have distracted them for a short period of time.
