In Pennsylvania: Aunt is killed, her husband (Uncle) is being charged with the homicide. Formal arraignment still pending, but inquest found sufficient evidence to hold Uncle in custody. Appointed guardian of minor children is also appointed Administrator for the estate (no will).

1) Does children's property (clothes, toys, books, furniture, etc.) count towards the estate?
2) Can joint property be sold by Uncle (e.g. for defense expenses) as survivor, or does it need to wait for probate?
