What is the name of your state? Ohio

I worked for the company for 4 years and was let go due to budget constraints.

The question I have is I was let go the 2nd day back from 3 weeks of Parental Leave. I have heard that this is "illegal" due to FMLA. Just wondering if I have any recourse.

Some of the details. I was told they could not say what the criteria was for who they chose to let go, but it had nothing to do with performance.

Just checking

You cannot be terminated because you took FMLA but you can be terminated in spite of taking FMLA. If you/your job would have been slotted to go due to budget constraints regardless, what your employer did is legal.
