I inherited about $60,000 in stocks from my mother in 1996, which since have grown to more than $100,000. The account is in my name alone, but I suspect my husband has a legal right to it, as I inherited it three years after our marriage. Are these stocks considered joint assets, legally? And if so, is there any reason not to put the account in both of our names?

Any advice on this matter would be most appreciated!!

(We lived in Wisconsin when I inherited the money, but now we live in Denmark. I realize laws may be different here in Europe, but I'm curious as to what the status would be if we were still in the States.)
