I am 27 years old, my parents recently got a divorce. I no longer speak to my mother but she has several things of mine in her possesion and she refused to return them. Some of these items are stocks in which I had as a child and they are in custodial accounts (some in my father name and some in my mothers name) There are also bonds and gold. I have sent a letter requesting these items and have been told I can not have them. What can I do? I am loosing money because I do not have access to these stock cirtificates. And in todays makrket several of the companies have mergered and I need to turn in the cirtificates to be replaced by the new company, none of which I can do because I do not have access to them. We all live in Colorado, can this be a criminal case ? Can I pursue a DA investigation. Please help!
