My mother has been married to my father for over 25 years and they have a sizable retirement fund for different stocks and 401k programs. Recently my father has been taking my mothers name off all of these funds. He says he doesn't want her to "get at it". I was wondering is there anything that my mother can do legally to protect herself, other than getting a divorce. My mother lives in Idaho.

I would appreciate any comments/suggestions in this matter.
