What is the name of your state?OR

If you quit your job before the yearly contribution is made, is the employer required to make the contribution with your final pay check or at the end of the year with the normal contribution.

Yes - regardless of firing, or quitting. If the ER makes a deposit for that plan year then he is requried to make deposit for you as well.
