I was curious about sports broadcasting copyright legalities. I understand that any duplication and redistribution of a sports game to the public is completely illegal; but what if I were to duplicate and redistribute only for the sports teams that the TV production is based on, for scouting purposes.
Would I need to receive expressed written consent of the tv producer? Is it even that big of a deal because it’s a service for the sports teams?
