The following two questions are regarding the crime of Shoplifting worth about $50 and in the state of New York:
1) After have been caught for shoplifting & arrested (and this is a 17 year old) and court date was set, does the defendant have to appear to Arraignment with a lawyer when pleading guilty??
2) When pleading guilty can there be a bargin between the defendant and Judge to have the 17 year old's record sealed for the future?
