What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? North Dakota

I know a woman who has 2 children a boy 4 and a girl 1. She receives
SSI disability payments for them. The kids are from 2 different men.
The mother won't go after the girl's father for child support because
she feels sorry for him and dosen't want to burden him. Not to mention
the father has like 4 kids from all different mothers already. She
more then likely lied to the social security administration because
they would have cut down her payments for the girl and make the father
make the difference with child support. So I'm certain she had to have
told them she dosen't know who or were the father is.I know for a fact
that if they knew who the father was and she refused child support
they would stop payments on here. it's not fair for the rest of us to support his daughter.
My question is would this be considered defrauding the government?

Thanks for your time

I don't know how your state manages SSI, but usually it is based on the total income of the family. In this case, it is based on the mother's earnings. Child support is not an 'earning' and does not always affect SSI benefits. Most likely, the amount of support paid by the fathers would not increase the total income to above the qualifying level for SSI.

If the children are receiving SSI disability benefits, then either both children are disabled or the children are receiving benefits from the mother's disability. In either scenario, child support by the fathers is not a factor in determining the amount of support being paid.

Surely, your motives are not to take food and shelter from two innocent children who already live in poverty.
