What is the name of your state? Alabama
My friend's mother just passed away and her elderly aunt was named executor in her mother's will. The aunt is unable to handle the will and wants to give up her rights as executor and appoint someone else. What form would she need to fill out for Alabama to accept this change? If they accept the change, would the new executor just take the will and the form and have it probated? Does she need one of the witnesses to go when probating the will?
Thanks a lot! There is not much money involved in the will and she doesn't want to spend what little there is trying to get this resolved.
