What is the name of your state?Illinois
A few months ago, I filed a complaint for phone harrassment. After the sheriff contacted this person, he advised me to press charges. I went to the police department and signed the paper. The officer told me I would hear from the state's attorney. I know she has been to court at least twice and I haven't heard a word. Do I have a right to contact the state's attorney and find out what's going on? Can they tell me the punishment or should I just continue to wait for them to call me?
