I am new here and I am seeking some help. My brother owned a company back in 1999 when it was discovered that the company as well as himself because he was the owner was involved in bank fraud due to incorrect receivables. There was an investigation and yet there never any federal criminal charges brought against him. His lawyer has since died of natural causes and I am trying to help him to find out just how long the government has to bring formal charges if any against him. If so does he need to get another lawyer? Thank you.
