THIS IS A REAL QUESTION

I have a friend who is trying to lead a celibate lifestyle for religious reasons. He misses the intimacy of being with a man and wants to hire a "hustler" just for the purposes of laying in arms. NO SEX! If one was to walk up to an undercover officer and offer to pay $50. to lay in his arms, could he be arrested?

I quess what I'm asking is, "what is the crime? Paying for sex or the proposition with money?"

Would it be any different if he were to go to a escort service?

This is a real question.
Thanks in advance

Maybe it would be safer to just get a massage?

Could he be arrested? Maybe. Would he be convicted? Who knows.

But, why would some guy seek the companionship of another guy - a stranger? Wouldn't it be better for him to lie in the arms of a friend?

And, just what religion IS this? I can think of a number of Christian-based ideals that would speak against the idea of laying with a man for the reason of "companionship".

There are other ways besides paying $50 for it. I suspect that most cops would look at this as some sort of a dodge to avoid prosecution ... and I suspect the courts would as well.

Carl, the poster's friend is gay and it conflicts with his religious beliefs. Therefore, the friend wants to pay to have a man hold him without any sexual behavior in order to get his "man-fix".

I figured that was the case ... what I was driving at - without trying to be TOO judgmental on the matter - is that this desire could very well conflict with his religious ideals ... provided it is a Christian religious belief he is trying to honor. However, I don't wish to turn this into a Theological discussion so I will refrain from expanding upon this concept and where it could conflict with Christian teachings.

Also, it would still seem to make more sense to "cuddle" with a friend rather than a stranger. And I doubt that the police or the court would buy an argument of "we were only going to cuddle," though usually the police wnat to get a specific activity in exchange for a sexual act on record before they will make an arrest.
