What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state?Minnesota

My husband owns a small logging company. It is a sole proprietorship. It is family run. We would like to hire from outside the family. To do this, we have considered forming a general partnership between family members and then making the person from outside the family a limited partner. In doing this, can we avoid the workmans compensation insurance? Can we also avoid taking state and federal taxes out of wages paid to the limited partner? What forms would we need to file with the government?
