I live in wisconsin and i have writen a bad check. there is a warrent for my arrest. is there any way to pay these people back without having to go to jail and be charged with a class a misd. or am i sol.

Get a lawyer and see if a deal can be worked out. But if there is a warrant, chances are you will have to sit in jail for a short period of time until you get it resolved.

Depends upon the type of warrant.

If it is a bondable warrant, then you can just pay the fine and not have to go to jail. If it is a body only warrant, then, yes, you will go to jail.

Why is the warrant out there? Did you not pay, or, did you miss a court appearance, or, did you fail to report to jail?

If there is a warrant, you have already been charged. Now it is between you and the DA, not you and the people you gave the bad check to. The only way to resolve it is with the DA.
