What is the name of your state? IA
My father hard-surfaced a gravel driveway to his cabin. The driveway is a permanent access easement across the adjacent lot, recorded on the plat. There is no other access to the road.
He just received a letter from the owner of the lot upon which the easement is located demanding that the hard surface be removed.
The easement "agreement" simply states that dad's lot has a perpetual access easement as detailed on the plat.
Can a person "improve" his access easement?
