I need help. I am from Romania, working in the States for the summer and I recently hit a parked car on the side of the road because I was trying to miss a deer. The person who owned the car does not have insurance and I don't have insurance. I do not have the money to pay for the repairs right now. He is asking me for a lot of money to fix his car. He is threatening to take me to court. Can he? and if he does, what could happen to me? Jail, fines, both? I am confused and scared. Please give me some advice. Thank you.
