What is the name of your state? md

i'm defending myself next week vs a friend, i guess ex-friend, who is sueing me for a little over 2k..he claims i borrowed the money back in june of 2001. is there a SOL that i'm not aware of and how can i protect myself..

SOL? Yes, it's called $hit out of luck.

If you borrowed the money pay it back. Otherwise, show up and defend yourself.

Yes, the SOL in Maryland is 3 years.

and how can i protect myself.

Simply offer whatever defense you have to show that it was NOT a loan.
