What is the name of your state? Illinois
I was divoriced in 1999 and I just found out thru another atty that the proper paperwork was not filed and I am not divorced, altho the transcripts (verbal) says that the marriage was dissolved. THe Div atty was paid in full. This has been and still is, a nightmare. Is there legal malpractice here? An atty has referred me to a malpractice atty. What do I need to prepare for this meeting? (I dont want to be screwed again.) What ?'s do I need to ask? I can barely think anymore with all this and the ripple effect it has caused and is causing. Thank you for your help
