What is the name of your state? California

When we could no longer afford our PWC (Personal Water Craft), we called and told them our situation and asked them to come and retreive the vehicle.
The supervisor said that it would be too costly and not in their interest to come and get it, so we should just keep it and they would therefore write it totally off. We were of course stunned/shocked. Anyway, for over 4 years we never heard anything from them. Then come a repossessor to come get it. AFTER 4 YEARS. The repossessors even told us they've never heard anyone waiting that long, ever. Well, The first thing they did was wanting to settle out of court(because they obviously knew they made a big mistake in taking it). We took it up with an attorney, who later did nothing but ruin our rights to proceed quickly in stopping the sale of the PWC. Now they are recanting on their offer, their saying it was a mistake, etc. Can somone please help and/or point us to a good attorney. Thanks so much for any help. :)
