A friend of mine has just started long term disability at her company due
to medical problems. A Legal firm has contacted her and has stated she
has been refered to them by the insurance company paying the long term
disability money. They are talking about helping her apply for SSD and that
the insurance company would be picking up all costs involved in this process. She knows nothing about this type situation, is this a normal process and should she be applying for SSD, doctors unsure if or will she will ever be able to return to work. She thought that when she paid for her long term benefits that her company would help her out, she whats any kind of input anyone can provide her on this situtation.
Thanks....
