:( What is the name of your state?CA

I was loaned a computer at work for home use. A friend has seizures so I lent it to him so that he could work from home and told him that I would need it back. He broke the computer and took it into a repair shop to get it repaired. He did not know that I was no longer with the company. The repair shop turned it into the police. A detective called my friend and asked where he got the computer. He told them the truth. I lent it to him. I also called the detective and left a voicemail message letting him know that I lent the computer to my friend and forgot to get it back form him. Can I be sent to jail for this?
