What is the name of your state? CALIFORNIA

I need advice from all who may know how to file a divorce, what to look out for when filing a divorce, and what steps should I take when there is a child involved. Any phone#s or locations for free legal help in California would help also. THANKS

The courthouse should have all the forms you need. You may even want to do a search on google on it and also there may be a website for the CA court system and you may be able to download them from there.

As far as how the paperwork should read, you can always try to find a paralegal to draw it up, which would be less expensive.

You may also be able to find books on it.

You need to get a custody/visitation order in effect asap and any child support issues need to be decided on.

Also for a checklist click on this link. This was posted to someone else but you can get the general idea from it.
