Seeking refund from Court Services

What is the name of your state? California

I was recently involved in a divorce case where an Investgation was requested. Before the investigation took place we had reconcilled and it never took place.
The court has now informed me that the 500 dollar deposit that was made for the investigation cannot be returned to me unless I file the proper form with the court clerk. However nobody at the court can tell me what form is needed.

"Can anyone tell me if they have heard of this and if so , what form do I need?"

I am in the same situation and I was told I would need a court order vacating the investigation. My attorney is currenlty drawing one up.
